J&K: Nine People Wounded In Grenade Blast In Srinagar, Probe Underway

Terrorists threw a grenade in the Nishat neighbourhood of Srinagar on Sunday, injuring nine people, according to authorities, news agency PTI reported.
They said that the incident happened in front of the well-known Mughal garden on the Dal Lake's banks.

In a separate instance, authorities on Sunday claimed to have neutralised an improvised explosive device (IED) found in the Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir, preventing a "serious" terror attack.

Security officers located the IED, which weighed between 10 and 12 kg, in Tral's Beihgund neighbourhood in the south Kashmir province.
Taking to Twitter, Kashmir Police Zone stated: "On a specific input of police, an IED, approx 10-12 Kgm has been recovered in Beihgund area of #Tral. Police and Army are on the job to destroy it in situ. A major #terror incident averted."

Police have opened an investigation and are on the lookout for the terrorists.
